The Future of Weddings...
10th July 2012
Ah ha. Got you there didn’t I? Seeing a title like that automatically brings to mind musings of modern wedding trends, shifting cultural values or perhaps the impact of technologies on the wedding industry.
Not so in this blog, however. In this instance, I invite you to consider the future of your wedding. How this one amazing day of your life can influence your future. What legacy will your wedding day bring to the lives of those special and close to you and your fiancé?
You see, a wedding day is much more than just a day. For most people it is an event that is fondly recalled and excited stories retold throughout the rest of their lives. A stunning wedding film is played back anniversary after anniversary, year after year.
Children smile as they witness Mum and Dad’s special moments, and wonder at Dad’s full head of dark hair. A couple's bond renews stronger as they are reminded of young love, and of the first steps to their new reality. A daughter pleads to watch Mummy’s princess film again, longing to see her Mother walk gently down the aisle in that beautiful white gown. Believing in fairy tales as she watches Mum and Dad, and true love’s first kiss. Little boys watch enthralled as Dad and his old mates dressed like special agents or celebrities laugh and joke around, or shed a tear. A husband and wife sit, arms draped casually with familiar assurance, as their wedding film transports them back to that pivotal moment in their long relationship. The vision and sound soon recalls the emotion, the ambiance and the tastes and textures of the day.
One of the easiest decisions to make for our wedding day was undoubtedly that we needed a wedding film. It was just so important to my wife and I that we have these moments captured on film for our future. And thanks to Jayden from Sunshine Coast Videography, we did. As a wedding film maker, I am honored to capture the moments and tell the stories of many couples, and to ensure their wedding memories have a future.
So, have you considered the future of your wedding day?
